As an Online private teacher, you will have a wonderful opportunity to educate students of different ages and from all parts of the world. You will typically have an extremely strong and reliable internet connection, a computer (preferably desktop), and necessary online tools such as a clean reliable high definition camera and a microphone and speaker headset.
You may teach more than one academic subject, based on your past experience, training and education on a part-time basis and so you get to enjoy a high degree of flexibility in your work hours. Depending upon the subjects you’ll teach this role may report to a teaching supervisor or senior manager. You may deliver courses from your own home or any other location of your choice as long as your internet access is strong and the location is very quiet.
Qualifications – Online Private Teacher
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a reputable institution (higher degree preferred)
Required Experience – Online Private Teacher
- 3 – 20+ years of work experience teaching in a registered School or University
- Proficiency with Computers using Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Competent in core Teaching practices and techniques
- Hands on experience in developing course material
- Experience in managing diverse background students
- Preparing exams / quizzes
- Previous experience with school reporting
- Solid experience teaching online
