Nationwide, Job Description: Brown University Athletics and Recreation is currently seeking candidates for the Athletics Marketing Coordinator position.Â Located in Providence, Rhode Island, and a member of the Ivy League, our intercollegiate athletics program consists of 34 varsity teams with approximately 1,000 athletes who participate within the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA-D1). Â Â The Athletics Marketing Coordinator assists the Assistant Director of Athletics, Marketing & Fan Engagement with increasing the overall visibility of Brown Athletics through marketing, promotions, and sales efforts. Job duties include, but are not limited to: â¢ Developing game-day promotions. â¢ Developing game-day public address scripts. â¢ Assist with coordinating student workers. â¢ Assist with planning & coordinating outside group attendance at athletic events. â¢ Collaborating with Strategic Communications to create and update content/messaging for official social media accounts, video boards, website, and email blasts. â¢ Developing and implementing marketing plans. â¢ Identifying and presenting potential new customers. Entry into the candidate pool requires the following: Education and Experience â¢ Bachelorâ™s degree â¢ One (1) to two (2) yearsâ™ experience in marketing, promotions, and/or ticket sales Job Competencies â¢ Strong planning and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines. â¢ Demonstrated ability to utilize computer software and other requisite programs. â¢ Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and oral communication skills. â¢ Ability to demonstrate a strong client service orientation; should be extremely customer focused on both internal and external customers and enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds. â¢ Must be flexible with a high sense of accountability and responsibility. â¢ Willingness to be available on weekends or evenings when/if necessary. â¢ Possess a willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive campus community. â¢ Knowledge and understanding of, and commitment to compliance with, NCAA, ECAC, Ivy and University rules and regulations regarding marketing/ticketing.
